Our Commitment to Promoting Clean Water

Access to clean and safe water is a fundamental human right — yet millions in underserved communities face water scarcity and contamination every day. ACTNOW KENYA works everyday to bridge this gap by championing sustainable water management practices, restoring water catchments, and supporting community-led initiatives that safeguard freshwater ecosystems.

Through education, advocacy, and practical solutions like rainwater harvesting and protecting natural springs, we are creating resilient systems where people and nature thrive together.

Clean Water Programs

We will stop until every member of our community and school kids get access to clean and safe water for drinking. We work everyday to ensure these communities access clean water for domestic use.

Clean Water Advocacy

Our mission is to ensure every one access safe water for drinking and that those involved in water pollution, are brought to book. In the image above, ACTNOW KENYA joined youth-led organizations in co-organized campaign on Nanyuki River Clean-up. This initiative led to annual tree planting and clean up along Nanyuki River — led by county government of Laikipia.

School Water Tanks

ACTNOW KENYA promotes safe spaces for kids to excel in school by providing them with water tanks and education on rain water harvesting. To date, we have provided two water tanks to 1 school in Mukogodo West Ward.

To ensure sustainability is our programs, ACTNOW KENYA engages communities in intensive water conservation education. This ensures informed community governance of shared water points, household water usage and freshwater protection for both the people and natural ecosystems.
